Gaming Life in Japan took a couple of weeks off for the Xbox 360 launch (although if you were paying attention, you might have noticed a mini GLiJ at IGN Xbox 360 just prior to the launch featuring ads, magazine covers and retail pics). While game systems tend to see surges toward the end of the year, the sudden jump to 300,000 units was unexpected. It may even get bigger next week and the week after that as Japanese mommies and daddies pick up New Years gifts....
